Replacement of Existing Technology

Out dated system configurations and current power supply protection needed.

The requested processor upgrades will bring 15 existing Macintosh computers in the School of Journalism’s Media Design lab to current industry standards and allow for the latest Mac operating system and design software. The Backup UPS will minimize power fluctuations and prolong the life of computer equipment attached to the devices. The media reader will allow for the use of multiple media formats for transferring of information to and from the computer. The hardware affects 200-500 students using the facilities in the College of Mass Communication, the School of Journalism and the Media Design program.
