Vocational Agriculture Building (VA) room 100: We are requesting funding to upgrade VA 100. This is the only classroom in the Vocational Agriculture Building currently seating 20+ students. The School of Agribusiness and Agriscience has offered several classes each semester in this classroom including continuing education courses for agricultural educators in the state. The classroom is housed in the same building which has the shop, tools, and lab space needed for the instruction of future and current agricultural educators. The classroom is outdated and in disrepair. There is no instructor station, white board, display devices, etc. The seating and work space lighting are old and in some cases, broken. It will be beneficial to have an updated, modern teaching environment. We are requesting $100,000 for needed construction costs, but are willing to downsize to $50,000 if funds are lacking.
