This proposal includes technology updates for several classrooms used the Department of Media Arts & the School of Journalism and Strategic Media. Bragg 167 has not been renovated since the original construction of the building. This proposal brings Bragg 167 up to date with its technology & design for student engagement. Bragg 103 hasn't been renovated since the original construction of the building. It's the department's primary screening room for film viewing which is critical for our Video & Film Production degree & the department's other programs that deal with filmed content. This proposal will upgrade the projections system with a brighter & higher quality image as well as repairing wear & tear on the room's walls & floors. These rooms are some of the most heavily used spaced in the Media Arts Department & will service hundreds of students each semester. Bragg 228 & Bragg 111 need to be updated with 2 additional iMacs, along with the tables, chairs & room construction/electrical to support them and to support the mission of classroom education & student training. This will standardize these labs with 20 computers to accommodate the student class needs.
