The Ann Campbell Early Learning Center, ACE, offers MTSU students multiple learning opportunities to interact with children ages 12 months up to age 3 at Baird Lane with and without disabilities in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. We see an average of 300 students at ACE from the College of Education (SPED 3010, Human Dev. I and Human Dev. II), Psychology, Social Work, pediatric nursing, and Speech and Language each Spring and Fall semester. ACE Learning Center works with students completing 100 and 300 hour internships, ten and twelve hour hands-on experiences in the classroom, and gives students an opportunity to watch typical and atypical child development in the booth. From the College of Education, ACE has an average of 12 special education students each day in the classroom and over 40 Human Development I and II students in the booth, hallway, and on the playground. We are requesting installation of cameras at ACE on Baird Lane to allow faculty and students an opportunity to observe and record student and child interactions at ACE. These cameras would be a valuable asset to faculty for instruction and for security at ACE. Faculty would be able to focus on a particular area(s) of development via a recording; i.e., gross motor sessions that take place in our loop hallway, outside, and in the classroom. The cost below includes installation.
