The proposal requests funds to upgrade two Honors College classrooms with the standard master classroom packages with touch display. Older equipment in these rooms has become problematic, and the bulky instructor’s station is out of date. The AMX system needs to be replaced so the technology and equipment are in line with other classrooms on campus. Construction in both rooms would include installation of white boards and moving controls on the wall to group together. Removal of old equipment is included in the construction estimate. The Honors building serves students from all of the departments and colleges across campus. There are approximately 1000 Honors students enrolled during the fall and spring semesters. The students will benefit from having the same technology in Honors that they have in other buildings across campus. Each semester, these classrooms are heavily scheduled to accommodate the course sections and the appropriate location for the Honors students and faculty.
