BAS S314 is a classroom with the same basic technology that was initially put into place when the classroom was first available in 1997. The whiteboard is on the smallest wall in the room and an antiquated manual projection screen takes up most of the whiteboard space when lowered. In order to lower the projection screen the instructor must pull the string that is attached. In order for the instructor to have any whiteboard space available to write a portable whiteboard was moved into the room. Given the layout of the room the portable whiteboard normally is located right in front of the door. The technology requested in this proposal would relocate the whiteboards to the longest wall in the room and upgrade the instructors station as well as the audio, video capability in the room. The student computers(34) will be replaced by the TAF replacement cycle. This computer classroom is heavily used by the Information Systems and Analytics department as well as other departments on campus.
