Project Description

This proposal requests three digital video cameras and accompanying tripods for use in Electronic Media Journalism., In specific, the request of $12,000 is to purchase equipment for use in both Basic and Advanced TV News Production classes (News II and News III) for 60-80 students per semester. The equipment is vital as we redesign and improve the news curriculum to focus more on the development and production of news stories in the field. Currently, students have a hard time booking equipment and getting adequate equipment. The new equipment is digital, and the three cameras are of two different weights, an important factor.
