This server will save time, manpower and money. As OIT has less technical support specialists, having a server would allow one person, in an hour, to install a software package on all 43 computers in two graphic design Master classrooms. Now it can take all day. The server would restore all 43 computers to their original settings on a regular basis without someone going from computer to computer. It would act as a security system and allow us to remove currently installed security software that is creating conflicts and needs to be upgraded on a regular basis. The printer would allow the painting and drawing classes to cross over into printed media, and also expand their exploration of color theory. It is important that our students have access to these experiences at MTSU if they are to be successful in the marketplace and gain entry into competitive graduate schools.
