These two classrooms, which have not been updated in 20 years, are separated by a mobile divider which is often used as a single larger classroom. The AV screens are very small and placed high on the wall to avoid obscuring the whiteboards. This placement makes text and pictures very difficult to read or view. The projectors are loud, and when the loud HVAC system operates, it can be difficult for students to hear the instructor. Additionally, the ceiling lights flicker and many of the 20-year-old chairs need servicing or repair. Construction for this room will include electrical and data updates to ready it for currently employed campus classroom technology. Minor construction will be accomplished to replace and/or reorient the whiteboards, some painting and upgrade the lighting to LEDs. Some new furniture (white boards, instructor’s stools) will be acquired and A/V improvements will include two touch screen monitors and instructor’s station upgrades.
