The Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology program acquired the use of AMG 121 in May of 2022. We are requesting master classroom equipment because the current equipment in the room is left over from when Recording Industry Management moved their program. It has not been updated since 2017 and is still in analog format. We are requesting construction funds because the current space is more than we need, so we would like to construct a wall that would make the room comparable to our other classroom, AMG 116. Ideally, we need space for 35 seats. With our current undergraduate schedule, we would have at least 5 classes in there each day. We hope to have a graduate program in the next two years, so we would be using the space for day and evening classes daily. This request would directly benefit the 144 students current enrolled in the SLPA undergraduate program and give us the space we need to expand for a graduate program (approximately 40 students). It is important that our academic space is in close proximity to our clinic space and resources in order for our students to have the hands-on learning experience required for our field.
