This project is a resubmission of a combined proposal between the School of Journalism and the Electronic Media Communications Department. The EMC part of the proposal was funded with 2001 TAF funds. The equipment requested is for a new discipline specific classrom/lab that has been created in the schoolÕs former Graphic Communications lab areas. The proposal addresses hardware, software and support issues related to the classroom/lab area. This classroom/lab mainly will support the Media Design/Graphic Communication, Digital Photography and Digital Media Communication programs as well as lab programs in the School of Journalism and the College of Mass Communication. These programs directly serve 300+ students. The Media Design/Graphics program affects 200 students a semester. An additional 500-800 students will use the labs in ancillary classes related to School of Journalism and Electronic Media Communication programs. The lab will be available to the 2,000+ students in the College of Mass Communication.
