The School of Concrete and Construction Management has an estimating class that all students in three of our four concentrations are required to take. We have approximately 90 students take the course every academic year. The estimating software students use in this class is free to the university. Xactimate/Verisk donates 100 estimating licenses (retail $2,690 per license) to our program every year and we are wanting to deploy a new technology (DocuSketch) in this class. The DocuSketch solution we are wanting to purchase integrates with the estimating software and is a 360 degree photo solution. The intent is to provide more advanced training in the estimating software and in the use of DocuSketch that will equip students with up to date training for professional work in the internships and upon graduation. Thousands of companies use DocuSketch as a technology solution and it is used to document over 40,000 projects every month. We are requesting fourteen units that will allow students to work on projects in small teams and provide the opportunity to use and know this platform well.
