Replacement of Existing Technology

Outdated COAX cables must be replaced with RJ45 lines for network interfacing.

The computer lab in the School of Nursing (CKNB 205) was built and furnished in 1994. Network connections have the older COAX type connection where 15 units are sharing one line. New PCs have RJ45 type network interface cards; they cannot connect to the existing COAX. In order to get this lab up to the standards required for new labs on campus we need to pull new lines for each computer (34 lines) and add 3 new Vertical Horizon Switches.
