This proposal requests funds to equip the Honors College Building with technology for use by students from all five academic colleges. Technology in this request includes master class- rooms packages, a portable cart with master classroom equipment, an additional 20 unit com- puter lab, and a science classroom/lab outfitted with the minimal necessary items for the hands on Honors chemistry and biology courses. There are approximately 900 to 1,000 Honors stu- dents enrolled during fall semesters and 700 to 800 during spring semesters with steady in- creases expected. (Over the last ten years Honors student enrollment has increased 528%!) Departments will benefit because they can schedule their Honors sections in these equipped rooms.
