Master Classroom

One Portable Master Classroom is needed by the HPERS department and other departments that teach classes in the Murphy Center complex. Instructors and students increasingly use PowerPoint, the Internet, and other computer-based audiovisual aides during class. The main classrooms that do not have such presentation equipment are MC 100B, 101, 102, 103, and 104 (there are internet connections in these classrooms). There are also two studios where dance, aerobics, and other movement classes are offered and two clinical rooms where athletic trainers learn and practice their skills. The Portable Master Classroom will be scheduled by the instructors and rolled from classroom to classroom as needed. In Murphy Center, HPERS offers over 100 sections of classes to 850 undergraduate and graduate majors and numerous students from other departments. HPERS has fixed Master Classroom equipment in MC100A and MC105, and one older portable laptop and projector system. The addition of the new Portable Master Classroom should meet the presentation needs for the near future.
