EHS 109 is a multi-use classroom utilized for lecture, presentation techniques classes and seminar classes. These classes require demonstration equipment and videotaping student presentations for critique. Conversion to a master classroom will give students and instructors the opportunity to utilize state-of-the-art technology for creating presentations utilizing internet access, power-point and a variety of other instructional techniques. This classroom is scheduled for approximately 16-18 classes per semester with 35 students per class. Due to relocation of the Child Development Center to Belle Aire property in summer 2003, vacated space in EHS will be used as a classroom. The existing furniture in EHS 109 will be relocated to the vacated space thus eliminating the need to request funds for classroom renovation, thus this grant will effectively renovate two much-needed classroom spaces.
