The TXMD program has grown dramatically; in HSC 110 slone, TXMD serves over 425 students annually. Equipment specific to the program is housed in 110, thus 110 has become exclusive to TXMD courses. TXMD 1100, 3100, 3120, 3140, 3190, and 4160 are lab/studio courses requiring enrolled students to spend 5-10 hours weekly in this room. TXMD 3130, 3150, 3160, 3180 4130, 4150, and 4170 are taught in 110 also. Students are currently missing out on teaching/learning/methodology offered via computer technology; industry specific software/equipment is imperative to prepare students to compete successfully in the apparel industry. MTSU is known for a quality TXMD program nationally, and must continue to add technology to the curriculum to maintain quality. On a recent survey of TXMD graduates, the only below average rating was the expressed satisfaction of facilities, with a 63% rating. Please note that some of the requested items will be donated by industry corporations, if MTSU agrees to provid the heardware/equipment to support the software technology.
