Replacement of Existing Technology
Some of the equipment requested is over 50 years old but has been too expensive to replace with meager department funds. Some of the equipment is outdated and need replacing with newer technology. Some of the equipment is just worn out.

The equipment requested here will serve approximately 800+ undergraduate and 50+ graduate students per year. The department is equipment intensive and is constantly in need of updating and funding new technology as it becomes available. The equipment will enhance and outfit labs in concrete industry management, computer engineering technology, manufacturing, and industrial power to allow students to integrate book knowledge with practical experiences on working equipment. This equipment will certainly enhance the educational experiences of our students as they make the successful transition to industry. A variety of equipment is needed in all areas of study.
