The requested hardware will be used for the Driver Education program in the HPERS department. MTSU is currently the only university in Tennessee offering all of the required courses necessary for state certification in the field of Driver Education. Four classes will utilize the requested equipment, SAFE 432/532, SAFE 435/535, SAFE 485/585, SAFE 487/587. Expected enrollment in each class is approximately ten per semester, therefore, this will impact 40 students per semester. These computers will provide the opportunity to utilize three-dimensional graphics and video demonstrations and simulations. Students will also be able to evaluate new programs as they are developed and enhance their knowledge by using interactive training at their own pace. The printers requested will be used to print out progress and testing results measuring students' progress.
