The TXMD program has grown dramatically; in EHS 110 alone, TXMD serves over 450 students annually. Equipment specific to the program is housed in EHS 110, thus it has become exclusive to TXMD courses. TXMD 1100, 3100, 3120, 3140, 3190 and 4160 are lab/studio courses requiring enrolled students to spend 5-10 hours weekly in this room. TXMD 3130, 3150, 3160, 3180, 4130, 4150 and 4170 are tauught in EHS 110 also. Students are currently missing out on teaching/learning/methodology offered via computer technology; industry specific software/equipment which is imperative to prepare students to compete successfully in the apparel industry. On a recent survey of TXMD graduates, the only below average rating was the expressed satisfaction with facilities, with a 63% rating. Please note that some of the requested items will be donated by industry corporations if MTSU agrees to provide the hardware/equipment to support the software technology.
