AMG116 is a classroom in the basement of AMG. It is a “normal” classroom. As a master classroom designed to seat approximately 35-45 students, it will be used for 6-7 classes per day by the Psychology Department and other departments within the College of Educ. and Behav. Sci. The department of Psychology currently has 44 faculty and accommodates 800 majors (undergraduate and graduate) and a large number of minors. It is also are responsible for one of the major Gen. Ed requirements (Gen. Psy, Psy 1410). The department has 1st priority with only 2 master classrooms of the 40 person size (PH204 and PH205 are listed as Master classrooms but, in actuality, are computer laboratories). The department currently has scheduling difficulties in terms of meeting student needs. Conversion of AMG116 will help alleviate some of these difficulties.
