This proposal creates a Master Classroom in Room 105 of the Miller Lanier Airway Science Building (AWS-105). In early spring, a new maintenance hangar for Flight School aircraft will be completed at the Murfreesboro Airport. In conjunction with its opening, the existing maintenance structure is scheduled for renovation and electrical upgrades. When renovations are completed in early Fall 2006, several flight training simulators currently in the BAS building and storage will be moved and installed in the remodeled facility. As a result, Aerospace instructional labs and systems lectures will move from the BAS building to the airport campus. This increased classroom unitization at the airport campus creates an urgent need for classroom technology in the AWS building comparable to that available on the main MTSU campus. This Master Classroom will serve the entire aerospace student body inclusive of all concentrations.
