This project includes upgrades and replacements for audio equipment throughout the department facilities. If fully funded five studios and four laboratories will be enhanced; each semester some 30 sections of 10 production courses will be improved and some 500 undergraduate students will be positively impacted. The improvements include replacing analog gear with digital equipment, replacing obsolete gear, upgrading and expanding software, and improving the audio monitoring systems. While all of the packages listed are considered necessary this proposal is designed to be open to partial funding.
