Below is a combination of Master Classroom requests, cobbled together in order to efficiently use our one TAF Category 5 proposal, while at the same time effectively serving as many of our students and faculty as possible. When Art relocated from SFA, the standard Master Classroom configurations were removed and placed in several Todd classrooms (see TAF proposal 711). We are asking for a replacement of this equipment in SFA. Since the SFA infrastructure remained, the cost is drastically reduced leaving room for us to redress a similar situation in Todd, where a number of classrooms also have infrastructure (included when the building was renovated), but no equipment (see TAF proposal 727). Again, the cost is much lower than typical for Master Classrooms. It is important to note that while Todd 212 is listed as Art’s, it is shared by Sociology and Anthropology—the other academic department housed in the building. Last, we would like to purchase a portable Master Classroom for Political Science. This is an economical though sometimes cumbersome way to bring technology to many rooms. The Chair has indicated that there is a need and that his faculty are willing (and anxious) to use the cart system.
