Sociology/Anthropology requests renovation of PH319 into a master classroom. An average of 15 courses per semester are offered in the classroom, including sections of methods courses required for the major and general education courses. With the addition of several new technologically proficient faculty in recent years, the technology available in the classroom does not meet their pedagogical needs. Several have "downgraded" Powerpoint presentations to transparencies. Over 480 undergraduate and graduate students enrolled each semester in sociology courses (including 10-20% of whom are fulfilling General Education requirements) would benefit from conversion of PH319. This includes approximately 100 majors in Sociology and over 250 minors in Sociology, Anthropology, Criminology, Family Studies, and Aging Studies.
