The Center for Dyslexia staff teach content segments within existing undergraduate and graduate courses in the following programs at MTSU: Elementary & Special Education, Reading Education, Educational Leadership, Early Childhood Education, Speech/Language Pathology, School Psychology. These segments will be presented in the master classroom within the new Center facility as of Fall, 2001. About 1,000 students benefit annually from involvement in these course segments. This figure is based on documentation collected over the past 3 years when the course segments have been taught in the regularly scheduled classrooms. The master classroom will permit enhancement of the content provided through access to resources beyond paper and transparencies. Video feed from Center testing rooms will permit observation and simulation opportunities not otherwise available.
