Equip BAS N278 with a portable docking station, 30 laptops, laser printer, 2 network access points for BAS N278, 1 network access point each for BAS N272 and N275, one additional LCD Projector and Smart Screen (including reprogramming to display a different window on each screen), and increased classroom security . CIS courses are increasingly technical and often require computers in the classroom. In the past, instructors have reserved computer classrooms in the BAS University lab when needed. However, demand for those facilities has increased dramatically and availability is no longer adequate to meet our needs. The department offers 20 – 25 sections of QM2610 - 3620 each semester with 2 – 4 class periods requiring computer classrooms for each section. Eight - twelve sections of various INFS classes require from 2 – 16 classes in computer classrooms. By making the laptops portable and installing additional access points for BAS N272 and N275, they can be utilized in any of those classrooms as needed. Making laptops available in these classrooms allows instructors to teach normal lecture type classes in regular classrooms, with the ability to convert the classroom to a computer classroom as needed.
