The MiniLab Gas Turbine Power System is a self-contained, portable miniature jet engine laboratory. A pure turbojet, the MiniLab is representative of all jet engines in which combustion results in an expanding gas and is sufficiently capable of demonstrating useful work, propulsive thrust and Brayton cycle analysis. Supporting equipment includes a calibrated load cell with appropriate sensors, computer, printer, software and stands. The HushKit suppressor system reduces operating sound levels to an acceptable laboratory level. As an integral part of several Aerospace curriculums (AERO 1020, 3030, 4312, 4342, 4392), the MiniLab turbine engine system will permit Aerospace faculty to develop new Experiential Learning Activities demonstrating gas turbine theory, thermodynamics, noise and environmental investigations for the entire aerospace student population of nearly 800. Purchase price includes a two-year comprehensive warranty.
