This project is to upgrade 24 student computers that are being replaced under TAF category 0. ITD has confirmed that the requested computer stations are on the list for replacement in the coming year. ITD has budgeted $1,400 per computer station. These computers are used as digital audio and electronic music workstations. Additional speed, memory, storage, and software are required. The requested amount will make up the difference between the ITD category 0 allocation and the cost of the upgrades. All most all RI production courses, graduate and undergraduate, use these stations, including courses cross-listed with Music and Electronic Media Comm. Approximately 320 undergraduate and 30 graduate students are enrolled in these courses each semester.
