The School of ABAS is requesting a PRO Landscape site license. This software is the premier program for landscape and hardscape design. It allows the user to design landscaping using two dimensional site drawings and visualize the plan using three dimensional, life-like "before and after" images. Once students have completed a design, they can use the software to produce a proposal that includes cost projections of the project. Thus, the software integrates both design and economics. The School of ABAS will use the software for approximately 150 students, including Plant and Soil Science majors in the Landscape Design course, Agricultural Education students in Horticulture classes, students enrolled in Agri-media skills, and students taking Agricultural Economics classes. The software is applicable to some hardscape and concrete design, and it has applications for artists and architects. The one-time, university-wide site license would allow for use in other majors and departments if desired.
