Replace Remaining VH4802 Switches Part 2 - This project will replace the remaining older 100 Mbps Ethernet workgroup switches campus wide (VH, AMG, SFA, WMB, JH, PH, DSB, and Ezell) with new 100 Mbps switches. The older switches lack some features present in new switches, particularly Gigabit uplink capability and policy application. Existing equipment is over four years old, has limits on throughput and security options, and is out of warranty. Updating this technology will allow for greater options for worm, virus, and denial of service containment as well as better network performance for the users. This portion of the project will replace approximately 700 ports. This is the second phase of a two phase project, with the first phase completed as a TAF project in FY 07-08.
