The Department wishes to update the technology in an existing master classroom – PH 218 – one of the first master classrooms installed in PH. Existing equipment is dated – a point noted by the professors who are increasingly doing multimedia presentations/lectures – and various components are known to act out somewhat indiscriminately resulting in numerous disruptions. In other words, the upgrade is necessary for reliable and effective instruction. This upgrade will benefit over 500 students per semester in Sociology, Anthropology, and English (general education and upper division) courses.
