The purpose of this proposal is to complete the technology "conversion" of Murphy Center classrooms (100B, 101, 102, and 103). We are asking to have a Nomad Presentation Station (LCD projector excluded)** added to these classrooms which received mounted LCD projectors from 2008 TAF funds. Secondly, we request that these rooms plus AMG 204 (HHP computer lab) be added to the campus card swipe system so that the technology is secure. Health and Human Performance has priority scheduling for these classrooms. Yet other departments, including Psychology, Political Science, Chemistry, Spanish, and History utilize these 48 student capacity classrooms. This spring, 44 course sections, representing 1,400 students, are scheduled in these rooms. Faculty are eager to schedule courses in master classrooms because technology greatly enhances their content delivery options and frequently engages students more fully in course content. The additional expense of the card swipe systems will aid in the longevity of this equipment by providing additional security. These technology upgrades will benefit faculty an students across our campus. **Funds saved by removing LCD projectors from Nomad Presentation Stations will be used for connectivity with exisiting projectors.
