In January, 2010, new facilities for the Middle Tennessee Education Center in Shelbyville, TN, opened. The facility (the old Medical Arts I building) was remodeled by Bedford County for MTSU' s use. This spring semester, 2010, classes are being offered at both the graduate and undergraduate level and full academic programs are being identified for the facilty. The Middle Tennessee Education Center houses three traditional lecture classrooms, one collaborative classroom, and one 10-station computer lab. We are requesting funds to outfit the three traditional classrooms into Master Classrooms, and for ten computers for the computer lab. Bedford County has provided and will continue to pay for internet access as well as all utility costs for the facility.
