We are requesting upgrades to six Master Classrooms in WMB and SFA that still have components well over 10 years old. These classrooms have recently all received new AMX touch panels but further upgrades are needed and requested. We are asking for new Spectrum workstations to replace the old and overly large Nova workstations in each room. We also request that each of the six upgraded rooms and two others (SFA 301 and 303) be equipped with a Smart Sympodium. Although Smart Sympodiums are no longer “standard” equipment in master classrooms, they are still very useful pedagogical tools in the music theory and general education sections that now collectively enroll over 3,000 students each year. (Our one Smart Sympodium is being used regularly in teaching large sections). We are further requesting replacements (in some of the six classrooms) for very old document cameras. Some hardware updates will be necessary to implement the above requests. Please reference the attached quote numbers from M3. [Note: while SFA 301 and 303 do need SmartSympodiums, the equipment is fairly new and does not need to be upgraded.] Thank you very much for your consideration.
