BDA 218 is a classroom serving 31 classes and over 1200 students annually. DVD’s and streaming online video have become standard tools in the learning environments of Speech Communication, Organizational Communication, Theatre, and Dance. Using multimedia technologies, students can see and hear as well as read course material. In many of the Speech and Theatre courses, students are taught to use computer software to aid in their learning. A master classroom would allow the students to magnify their work as well as use visual aids to present their work to class. Because of the lack of technology-ready rooms, we ask that BDA 218 be converted to a master classroom with student computers to aid in the presentation of curriculum related materials. We also request the addition of the university card readers to the other two master classrooms, BDA 214 and 216. These rooms were renovated for master classrooms many years ago before the university had the campus wide system. This would improve the security and safety of the existing equipment in the rooms.
