BAS S308 is a master classroom with student computers. The room has a capacity of 36 students, although enrollment is usually lower to limit class sizes for optimal control purposes. It is used regularly by the Department of Accounting for classes (one section unless otherwise indicated) in: # Accounting Systems (ACTG 4610/5610) – 3 sections; # Cost Accounting (ACTG 3310) – 2 sections; # Internal Auditing (ACTG 4640); # Financial Statement Analysis (ACTG 6920); # Commercial Law (BLAW 3430); and # Legal Aspects of Health Care (BLAW 6500). Other Departments and Colleges that regularly use the room are: # University Seminar (UNIV 1010); # Health and Human Performance—Technology Applications (PHED 5600/5601); and # Liberal Arts—Script Analysis (THEA 3820) and Research and Argumentative Writing (ENGL 1020). Because this room has limited seating capacity, it is in use nearly every standard class time during the week. It may also be used for labs that are not on the standard University schedule. Finally, the room is used twice each year for continuing education classes taught within the Department of Accounting (approximately 80 people attend these seminars). During the Fall 2011 Semester, over 250 students used the classroom on a weekly basis. In the Spring 2012 Semester, over 210 students are using it on a regular basis. This request is to upgrade the teacher station to the standard master classroom configuration with new projector, screen, Elmo, AMX, etc.
