Cybersecurity and Data Protection

MTSU values the data privacy and protection of its students, Faculty, staff, and College administrators. The University’s Information Technology Division (ITD) provides tools, training seminars, technology support, and helpful applications to provide the campus community with the most current cybersecurity protections and internet portability.  The electronic security of student educational records, protected health information, staff employment files, and other confidential information is a priority of the University.  In addition, University faculty and staff receive electronic data security training annually, which includes information on FERPA and confidentiality.
