FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions for the transition to SSB9 will be posted here.
PipelineMT itself is not changing, you will still interact with it like you normally do. However, some of the links and functions that you use every day in PipelineMT will look and act different soon. For example, registering for classes, looking at your transcript, and viewing grades will all have a different look and feel. These changes are necessary to keep up with the upgrades provided by our vendor, Ellucian.
MTSU has some special modifications within PipelineMT that align with modifications at the state community colleges and other universities. These modifications require unique updates, which is performed through our partner the Tennessee Board of Regents. Due to the complexity of these modifications, some of our functionality is not working correctly for registration, records, and other areas. As soon as TBR provides the modification updates, we will be able to implement the changes and go live with all areas of SSB9.
You may have heard that some parts of MTSU will be utilizing Oracle software instead of Ellucian’s Banner. That is correct for the Finance and Human Resources areas, but other functions such as registration, student, and financial aid will continue to use Banner. The transition of Finance and Human Resources to Oracle is called the True Blue Fusion project, and you can read more about it here: mtsu.edu/fusion
