2016-2017 Academic Year


Phi Delta Theta – August 2016

Charges:

  • Threatening or disruptive conduct
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Hazing
  • Alcoholic Beverages
  • Drugs
  • Failure to cooperate with institutional officials
  • Aiding and abetting the Commission of Offenses
  • Unacceptable conduct in disciplinary proceedings

Sanctions:

  • Disciplinary Probation through 8/31/2017
  • Series of educational requirements.

2015-2016 Academic Year


Sigma Pi – January 2016

Charges:

  • Threatening or disruptive conduct
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Alcoholic beverages

Sanctions:

  • Disciplinary Probation through 1/31/2017
  • Series of educational requirements.

Alpha Tau Omega – November 2015

Charges:

  • Threatening or disruptive conduct
  • Hazing
  • Alcoholic beverages

Disciplilnary Sanctions:

  • Disciplinary Probation through 12/1/2016
  • Series of educational requirements.

Sigma Nu – November 2015

Charges:

  • Threatening or disruptive conduct
  • Hazing
  • Disorderly conduct
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Failure to cooperate with institutional officials
  • Violation of imposed disciplinary sanctions
  • Drugs
  • Unauthorized surveillance
  • Smoking Violations
  • Aiding and abetting the Commission of Offences
  • Unacceptable conduct in disciplinary proceedings

Sanctions:

  • Suspension until the spring 2019 semester
  • Disciplinary probation once the chapter returns
  • Series of educational requirements.

Sigma Nu Fraternity’s national board of directors also suspended the chapter’s charter until the spring of 2019.


2014-2015 Academic Year


Delta Sigma Theta – May 2015

Charges:

  • Violation of Imposed Disciplinary Sanctions
  • Failure to cooperate with institutional officials

Sanctions:

  • Disciplinary Probation through 12/31/2016
  • Cease and Desist through 12/31/2015

Sigma Chi – May 2015

Charges:

  • Conduct dangerous to others
  • Disorderly conduct
  • Alcoholic beverages

Sanctions:

  • Series of educational requirements.

Alpha Kappa Alpha - April 2015

Charges:

  • Conduct dangerous to others
  • Disorderly conduct
  • Failure to cooperate with institutional officials

Sanctions:

  • Disciplinary probation through 5/1/2016
  • Limitation of social privileges
  • Series of educational requirements

After a series of cease and desist notices and multiple investigations conducted by AKA’s national headquarters, the chapter was suspended for two years by their HQ not to return prior to 4/2018 and only with the permission of the university.


Delta Sigma Theta - April 2015

  • Removal of privileges
  • Series of educational requirements

Pi Kappa Phi - March 2015

Sanctions:

  • Suspension through summer 2018
  • Disciplinary probation once the chapter returns
  • Series of educational requirements

After their own investigation Pi Kappa Phi National council’s removed the chapter’s charter.


Kappa Sigma - January 2015

Charges:

  • Aiding and abetting the commission of offenses
  • Providing false information to university officials

Sanctions:

  • Disciplinary probation through 1/31/2016
  • Social restrictions for Spring 2015
  • Series of educational requirements

Omega Psi Phi - October 2014

Charges:

  • Hazing
  • Conduct dangerous to others
  • Providing false information to university officials

Sanctions:

  • Disciplinary Suspension through Spring 2016
  • Disciplinary probation for one academic year after return

2013-2014 Academic Year


Kappa Alpha Order – April 2014

Charges:

  • Conduct dangerous to others
  • Hazing
  • Alcoholic Beverages
  • Failure to cooperate with institutional officials

Sanctions:

  • Suspension through Summer 2017
  • Disciplinary Probation once the chapter returns

After their own investigation Kappa Alpha Order’s National Administrative Office placed the group on suspension until fall 2017 and placed the group on a probationary status for 18-24 months after their return.
