We offer scheduled workshops, webinars, and training sessions designed to enhance your online teaching skills and keep you updated on the latest educational technologies and pedagogical strategies.

The MTSU Online YouTube channel features recordings of past events with helpful resources and tutorials from our MTSU Online Instructional Designers.

In addition to our regular semester offerings, we understand that individual needs may vary, and we are pleased to accommodate requests for personalized professional development. Whether you need one-on-one coaching, tailored training sessions for your department, or specific guidance on integrating new tools into your courses, our team is here to support you.

The MTSU Online Instructional Design team holds open clinics for faculty and staff to drop in and learn about a topic of their choice, or to ask questions about using D2L. No registration is required.

Self-paced Online Workshops (via D2L Self-Registration)

MTSU Online offers additional self-paced professional development through our Mastering Teaching Certification Hub (MaTCH). This course is designed to provide individuals interested in teaching online with opportunities to learn more about pedagogy and resources supporting for creating engaging learning experiences.  To enroll in the course, log in to D2L and click on the Discover tab in the navbar.  Click the Course Offering Name link — MTSU Online – MaTCH.  The course will appear on your D2L home page once you have enrolled in it.

How to Use the Discover Tool

The Discover tool in D2L allows faculty to self-enroll in special courses and tutorials. To self-enroll, log in to D2L and click on the Discover tool to see the available workshops. Click the course offering name link.  The course will appear on your D2L home page once you have enrolled in it. If you do not see the Discover tool in your D2L home page navbar, you can submit an ITD help desk ticket for assistance.
