Let's Let’s bring MAJOR CONCERTS back to MTSU together with FIVE FOUR SIX.


What does this mean?

A $5 increase in Student Activity Fees for the next 4 years that will allow our campus to host BIG NAME artists that you listen to on the radio.

Where did this idea come from?

The Student Government Association recently passed a piece of legislation in Senate that was voted unanimously in favor of FIVE FOUR SIX. Now it is up to you to put this plan into effect by simply voting “YES” for this referenda. The ballot will direct you to the legislation that was passed in senate for your review.

How can I vote and voice my opinions about Five Four Six?

Each student will have the opportunity to cast their vote on FIVE FOUR SIX. Voting will take place during spring elections, April 14-17 on www.mtsu.edu/mymt. If you have any questions or concerns, please email sgapres@mtsu.edu.

What is the Student Activity fee now?

Each student currently pays $20 a semester for Student Activity Fees. If you approve this referenda, here is what you will be paying over the next four years:

2016 $30 $30 $35
2017 $35 $35 $40
2018 $40 $40  

*Note: If you register for summer classes, you will pay the fee connected with that particular academic year.

What do my Student Activity Fees pay for now?

The current allocation of Student Activity Fees get dispersed into 5 separate categories:

  • Student Organizations
  • Student Programming
  • SGA Student Programming
  • Distinguished Lectures
  • Sports Clubs

If FIVE FOUR SIX passes, there will be a creation of a new fund called signature events!
