Summer school at Middle Tennessee is guaranteed to be a fast-paced academic experience. To assist you, Housing & Residential Life offers a limited number of spaces for Summer School Students in the Womack Lane Apartments, as well as offers continuous housing in Scarlett Commons Apartments for continuous students (conditions apply, see application for details).
Summer Application procedures – To apply for Summer 2024 on-campus housing, please complete the following steps:
Thoroughly read the Housing License Agreement, Summer 2024 Informational letter, and check-in and check-out information.
Complete and sign the Residential Life Application for Summer 2024.
Enclose the required summer prepayment of $175.00.
Return all materials to Housing and Residential Life at MTSU (Keathley University Center, Room 300).
Summer 2024 Term Continuous Occupancy Building Rates
Current Spring 2024 Womack Lane residents who apply for Full Term Summer housing prior to the reapplication deadline of January 26th and who are assigned to Womack Lane for the Fall 2024-Spring 2025 academic year are considered continuous occupants. These residents are not required to enroll in summer courses but will be required to pay rent in full in advance of occupancy.

PLEASE NOTE:
Current Spring 2024 residents of Womack Lane requesting summer housing are not guaranteed the same assignment location for Summer. Due to summer maintenance plans, if needed an alternate assignment will be made and you will be required to move for the duration of the work. We will know more about those impacted as the summer approaches and will keep you informed.
Financial Penalties: Students whose Fall 2024 reservation is cancelled for any reason will receive financial penalties including an increase in rent charges to $3,704.00, forfeiture of prepayment, and if applicable, check-out charges. Student may also be asked to move from the assignment location.
Summer 2024 Term Non-Continous Occupancy Building Rates
(Most Summer residents fit this criteria)
Current Spring 2024 residents of Womack Lane who submit a Summer Application for the period of Full Term, but at the time of application are not returning to Womack Lane for the Fall 2024-Spring 2025 academic year are considered NON-CONTINUOUS occupants. These residents will be required to enroll in a minimum of one 3-hr Summer class.
OR
Student not a current Spring 2024 resident of Womack Lane who submits a summer 2024 application for the period of the Full term and is assigned to Womack Lane for the summer 2024 term is considered a non-continuous occupant. These residents will be required to enroll in a minimum of one 3-hr Summer term class.
