Hartman, Benjamin C., Jr.

Major Benjamin Crockett Hartman Jr. died through non-hostile action, on September 19, 1968, in the Darlac province while serving in the Vietnam War. He was an enlisted Major and Supply Staff Officer for the Army’s 1st Aviation Brigade, 17th Aviation Group, Headquarters Company and was awarded an Air Medal.

Major Hartman Jr. is buried or memorialized at Nashville National Cemetery, Madison, Davidson County, Tennessee. This is a National American Cemetery administered through the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Major Hartman JR. is honored on the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in Washington DC. Name inscribed at VVM Wall, Panel 43w, Line 36.
