Proctored Exams / Activities

Your online course may include proctored exams or other proctored activities.

If your instructor requires proctoring, there are a few options they may use: *

* Review your course syllabus & schedule for more information on how your instructor is offering the proctored activity and reach out to your instructor with questions.

Note: All online mathematics courses include mandatory, in-person final exams, which must be taken at an approved testing center.

The MTSU testing center is available for this purpose at no additional cost to students. Off-campus testing centers may require additional testing fees.

If you’re unable to come to campus for a required proctored exam, you can use the NCTA network to locate a testing center near you.
These centers meet national standards for secure testing and may charge a fee.
