If your course requires online proctored exams, this page provides step-by-step guides, troubleshooting tips, and essential information to help you prepare for your proctored activity using ProctorU.

Follow this step-by-step process to prepare yourself for your exam.

  1. You need to Create Your Account in ProctorU
  2. You must Download and Install the Guardian Browser.
    • You will go into D2L through the Guardian browser to take your exam.
  3. Test Your Equipment to make sure your hardware is compatible with ProctorU.
  4. Find an Acceptable Space to Take Your Exam. The environment needs to be quiet, well-lit, and away from other people. 
  5. The exam is proctored through recording (called Record+). There is no live proctor. Any “incidents” that occur will be reported to your instructor for review.
