September 1 Applications open for Spring 2022 and Fall 2022-Spring 2023
September 7 First day to submit requests for Fall 2021 assignment changes

Deadline to cancel housing reservation for Spring 2022 semester and receive full refund of Spring 2022 prepaid rent deposit for those graduating and not returning to take classes at MTSU  

Reminder: we do not accept cancellations from current residents returning and taking classes at MTSU.

Spring 2022

DATE DESCRIPTION
January 14 New Spring 2022 Resident Check-In (9am to 3pm). Check your Pre Check-In Form for your assigned move in time.
January 15-17 Residence Halls open for Returning Residents

FINAL:  Deadline to submit Spring 2022 License Agreement Cancellation Request for review by Committee. 

Please note: Decisions for this final deadline may not be made until after final fee payment deadline. Please plan to make payment accordingly, and any due refund will be issued upon committee's decision to release.

January 28

Fall 2022-Spring 2023 Priority Deadline for Reapplicants: Reapplicants must apply and pay by Friday January 28 in order to be able to self-assign prior to new applicants.

Please note: This deadline does not guarantee 1st choice housing preferences, as housing is still first-come first-serve during the self-assignment process. However, it does guarantee that your self-assignment date will be before any new applicants.

April 1 Last day to submit requests for Spring 2022 assignment changes
April 29 - May 6 Residence Halls check-out. Students must check out within 24 hours of their last final examination.
May 7 Check-out exclusively for graduating students. Halls and apartments close at 6pm on Saturday May 8.

*Application Completion Date refers to the date your application is completely processed in our system, not the date you submit your application.  Remember, when attempting to meet deadlines to allow 7 - 10 business days for processing.

** Fall 2020 COVID Cancellations refer to students whose Fall 2020 assignments were cancelled after March 12, 2020

 

Students with completed applications between January 31 and June 4, 2021 have access to self-assign or change their assignment until MTSU Housing closes the self-assignment system. THE SELF-ASSIGNMENT SYSTEM IS SCHEDULED TO CLOSE ON WEDNESDAY JUNE 16, 2021 AT 4PM.

We are still accepting applications on a staff-assignment basis! For applications received after June 4, 2021, application preferences can be listed in the application and assignments are made by staff based upon available space and cancellations.
