Bike Shop and Repair Center

Welcome to the Bike Shop located within Campus Recreation! Whether you’re a first-time biker or an enthusiast, we have what you need to get outside and active with cycling. We offer an impressive selection of bicycles specially tailored for any situation. From commuter bikes for zipping between classes to sturdy and reliable mountain bikes for off-campus adventures, we’ve got you covered.

Bike Shop Hours

Bike Rentals:

Fleet (30+ bikes)

  • Fleet of 30+ bikes
  • Bikes are a mix of geared and single speed bikes
  • Locks are included at no cost
  • Bikes are rented for the semester, but must be checked in every two weeks for a quick maintenance check

Bike Rental Card

  • Rent a bike for a 5-day period at any time for the semester
  • Rental must occur while the bike shop is open
  • With a rental, you sign an agreement to follow all rules and regulations for bike safety on campus
  • Cost: $35.00

Location:

Access to the Bike Shop is located in the back of the Health, wellness, & Recreation building. It cannot be access from the main entrance of the building. If you are having trouble locating the Bike Shop, feel free to visit the Rec Center for assistance.

Directions from Blue Raider Dr:
  • Enter the Health, Wellness, & Recreation Center parking lot from Blue Raider Drive, and go to the right
  • Head to the back right corner of the lot where the Pharmacy drive-thru is located
  • Pass the Pharmacy drive-thru, then turn left
  • Make an immediate left (before the one-way begins)
  • Drive straight back toward the garage doors on the back of the building
  • The door on the right will be open when the Bike Shop is open
Directions from Alumni Dr:
  • From Alumni Dr., turn onto Homecoming Circle
    • This is a one-way street that runs along Womack Lane Apartments and the Intramural Sports Fields
  • When you reach the end of the one-way (just past the basketball courts on the left), turn right
  • Drive straight back toward the garage doors on the back of the building
  • The door on the right will be open when the Bike Shop is open

Bike Repair Center:

Having issues with your bike or just need a tune-up? Take a look below at all the repairs and maintenance we can perform for you! NOTE: Items with a * require you to supply the part.

  • Tune-ups ($35):
    • Brake adjustments
    • Adjust front and rear derailleurs
    • Tru front and rear wheels
    • Lubricate drivetrain
    • Perform minor cleaning of moveable parts
    • Check bottom bracket
    • Tighten/adjust headset if needed
    • Check wear on chain
    • Replace cables if necessary*
  • Installation of tire tube*:
    • Front or rear tire ($5)
    • Both tires ($8)
  • Other services:
    • Chain installation ($5)
    • Check/add air to tires (FREE)
    • Bike cleaning ($8)
    • Truing wheels ($6/wheel)
    • Brake adjustments ($5)
