Campus Recreation Facilities

Campus Recreation oversees a number of facilities to inspire and connect an active and strong MTSU community. We also allow many of our spaces to be reserved for both on campus groups as well as external events. Please check out our facilities and we hope to see you there soon!

Facility Reservations

Campus Recreation is an ideal location for student events, birthday parties, tournaments, group fun nights, and other events. Whether it is a swimming party for children, an event to challenge your teens on the climbing wall, or a location that provides multiple activities for larger groups, Campus Recreation is available to accommodate most any type of occasion and group.

If Interested in reserving a facility please fill out a Facility Rental form below. With the exception of the gym, if there is already an event scheduled or you are not within the required timeframe, the form will not allow you to submit. If interested in the gym, please reach out via email to check availability.

* Per campus policies, event forms must be submitted at least 5 business days in advance of the proposed date of the event. Longer reasonable timeframes may be required for large events.

** Due to summer staff shortages, we will not be taking any new reservations for birthday parties until September 1.

Club Sports Complex/Intramural Sports Fields Rental Rates

Non-MTSU Groups

Summer (May 1 – July 31)
- $75 per field per hour
  - Pro-rated to the half-hour
- $350 full-day rental per field
Non-summer (MTSU club teams and student groups get first priority on field space)
- $100 per field per hour
  - Pro-rated to the half-hour
- $475 full-day rental per field

Additional charged services
- $100 paint fee per field
- $175 per portable toilet (minimum 2)
  - This is dependent on the activity and number of fields being used

MTSU Groups

Club Sports Complex and Intramural Sports Fields
- $75 per field per hour
  - Pro-rated to the half-hour
- $350 full-day rental per field
Additional charged services
- $100 paint fee per field
- $175 per portable toilet (not charged to MTSU Sport Clubs)
  - This is dependent on the activity and number of fields being used

Club Sports Complex and Intramural Sports Fields Rental Policies

Complete the Facility Request Form found on the Campus Rec website
Once the form is completed, a staff member will reach out to you for event detail
A $75 deposit will be required to secure your facility reservation for your event
- The deposit will count towards the total cost for the event and will be refunded if you cancel your event more than 48 hours in advance

The price for a birthday party is $170 for a 2 hour party. Each additional hour is an additional $85. Price is based off 1 space (ex. indoor pool, soccer arena or basketball court). If you would like 2 spaces, there is an additioanal cost of $40/hour.
Payment is collected the day of the party.
Please see facility hours for Campus Rec. No parties will be held outside of open hours. Pool parties must be any time slot between 1pm and 5pm on a Sat or Sun.
Each participant will be expected to have a parent/guardian sign a waiver upon arrival.
Party size limit: 30 children max
Food is allowed but please respect our facility and keep space as clean as possible.

Reserve a Facility

Indoor Pool

The indoor pool is 33 meters x 25 yards (108 feet x 75 feet) and more than 8,000 square feet! Pool depth ranges from 3.5 feet to 13 feet with approximately 425,000 gallons of water for you to enjoy. An accessibility ramp, step entrance, and 90-foot water slide are at the shallow end. At the deep end, there is a one-meter diving board.

Open Swim. The pool is open for water activity of choice, depending on available space in the pool area.

Lap Swimming: Check the posted pool schedule at the pool and online. Training equipment such as kickboards, pull buoys, hand paddles, bar buoys, and buoy belts are available for use.

Outdoor Pool

The outdoor pool has five fountains, 4 lap swim lanes and measures 25 yards x 50 feet with a 0–5 foot depth. The zero-level entry makes the pool accessible to everyone. The pool is usually open May through Labor Day.
