Group Fitness Classes

Group Fitness classes are a great way to try a variety of classes and discovery what you love! Classes are 30 or 45 minutes and open to all abilities and experience levels. Formats range from HIIT to Dance, Cycle to Yoga, and more. Join us for a fun workout in a welcoming social setting.  Check out the Group Fitness Schedule & Class Descriptions page for details.

Descriptions:

Barre - using elements of Pilates and ballet, enjoy a low impact workout that can build endurance, tone muscles, and improve flexibility


Cardio + Core
- work your whole core: abdominals, obliques, glutes, and more through strength, endurance, and stability of all the vital core muscles

Cycle - utilizing stationary cycle bikes, this no-impact, high intensity class will challenge your cardiovascular and muscular strength and endurance

Dance Fit - this class will fuse Latin and Hip-Hop elements and songs to keep you moving and having a blast from start to finish

Functional Lifting - utilizing functional movements and light loads, the muscular endurance and mobility aspects will help you feel strong and move freely

POP Pilates® - strength meets flexibility with highly-focused movements that center around breath work and upbeat songs

Raider Fit - work your muscles, heart, and lungs during a full body workout with cardio and strength elements using equipment and your body weight

Yoga for All - increase your flexibility, stability, and mindfulness through poses built into sequences to calm your mind and enhance your health

How to Purchase an All-Access Pass

  1. Open the MTSU Campus Recreation App or visit the Membership page on the Rec Portal
  2. Sign-in with your member information
  3. Click on "Passes"
  4. Choose “Fitness All-Access Pass”
  5. Click on”1 Semester” to select which semester, then “Add to Cart”
  6. Complete the checkout process and your pass will automatically be added to your account

*see “Registration & Cancellation” below for instructions on registering for a class once you have purchased your pass

How to Purchase Pass to a Single Class 

  1. Visit the Group Fitness page on the Rec Portal or log onto the MTSU Campus Rec App 
  2. Sign-in with your member information  
  3. Click the class you want to attend (Will need to click "Group Fit Schedule" first on the app)
  4. Find the day and time you want to attend and click “Register”
  5. Complete the checkout process and you will automatically be registered for the class

Registration & Cancellation

Registration for MTSU Students and All Access Pass Holders

  1. Open the Campus Rec App or visit the Group Fitness page on the Rec Portal
  2. Sign-in with your member information
  3. Click the class you want to attend (Will need to click "Group Fit Schedule" first on the app)
  4. Find the day and time you want to attend and click “Register”
  5. Complete the checkout process (the total will adjust to $0) and your registration will be complete

Cancelling Your Class Registration

  1. Visit the Rec Portal
  2. Sign-in with your member information
  3. Click on your name in the upper right corner and select “Profile”
  4. On the left side menu under your name and picture, click on “Program Registrations”
  5. Find the class you’d like to cancel and click the 3 dots on the right end of the row
